With the massive growth of non-fungible tokens and play-to-earn games, the natural next step was to combine the two most valuable sides of the cryptocurrency industry. This led to the launch of protocols such as CryptoBlades that aim to provide users with ways to earn while having fun playing continuation games.
Following the positive end of 2021, the project intends to start the new year with a bang, with the latest developments connecting it to the next big thing in the digital world – the Metaverse. Additionally, the team behind it announced a partnership with a prominent name to help it grow in that direction, as well as new features to the popular CryptoBlades: Kingdoms.
2022’s Metaverse Movements and New Features
The partnership in question comes with Volmi Games as both parties vowed to make the Metaverse goal become a reality. Omnus, CryptoBlades’ Metaverse platform, saw the light of day in late 2021, but the project wants to expand it further now with the help of Volmi.
Separately, CryptoBlades said its game developers had been pushed to release a Player versus Player (PvP) mode and an NFT Character Burning feature. The former will allow two players to fight in real-time duels and test the strength of their weapons and shields. After placing the wagers, the player who wins will receive profits as prizes. They will also collect ranking points that accumulate over an interval season, and the top three on the leaderboards will split a share of a rewards pool.
Character Burning will look differently, as the core purpose is to build off the idea of increasing rewards while making them more sustainable.
“CryptoBlades has remained a leader in Play-to-Earn gaming by creating innovative Blockchain gaming systems for our 1.2 million users, and now we are positioning ourselves as a platform providing much-needed services to the GameFi sector as a whole.” – commented company CEO, Philip Devine.
About CryptoBlades
CryptoBlades is considered a revolutionary web-based NFT roleplaying game built upon a rewarding system, which awards players with its SKILL token. Being a blockchain-based Play-to-Earn game implies that players control their characters and weapons, depicted as NFTs, and have the exclusive right to sell and trade them.
